I'm the "deborah" part of deborahparkerimaging....

I am a professional photographer based in the melbourne area........I live in the historic and beautiful village of Malmsbury which is an hour north of the city....It is a place full of inspiration and creativity....I work both locally and in Melbourne... the best of both worlds! I love it.

My photography is very candid..... very relaxed and natural.... I come from a media based background having been a camera operator for television news as well as a newspaper photgrapher. So I am journalistic in my approach, recording what's there not creating it.....that said...... there is also an art to "creating" a "natural" look..... so I might say..... "walk towards me and talk to each other"... "don't look at me."...." tickle each other".... etc etc..

you won't ever hear me say... line up hands in front and say cheese!

I don't believe anyone should spend $4000 on a wedding album... that's just stupidity.... I'm all about taking it back to basics..... Just great photos of your actual day... not five locations in model mode... you get to keep all the images and print as many or as few as you want.... no pressurised selection process.. no bumped up studio print prices.... it's your call... the "negs"belong to you... ( a disc actually) The same applies with family and baby portraits.....

So if you want a fabulous record of your wedding day or of your family ,with minimal cost,great results and no fuss..... then I may just be the photographer you're looking for.
